Samsung Settings for AutoSOS
Descriptions of Samsung Android settings, that AutoSOS needs to work properly and to provide maximum protection:
Go To Android App Settings For AutoSOS
- Swipe down from the top screen frame
- Tap on “Android Settings” (Gearwheel)
- Tap on “Apps“
- Tap on “AutoSOS“
Battery Settings
- Tap on “Battery“
- If “Allow background activity” is still enabled and “Optimize battery usage” has the text “Optimizing battery usage” as shown below, this must be corrected …
- Tap on “Optimize battery usage“
- Select “All” in order to list all Apps
- Scroll to “AutoSOS“
- deactivate the battery optimization for AutoSOS
- The battery optimization settings for AutoSOS must look like this
Permissions: Location, Phone, SMS
- Go back to “Android Settings“
- “App” ⇒ “AutoSOS“
- Tap on “Permissions“
- The following App permissions must be granted”
Enter the “Location“, “Phone” and “SMS” settings from above, one after one, as follows:
- Tap on “Location” (1 from above)
- Set permission “Allow all the time“
- Tap on “Phone” (2 from above)
- Set permission “Allow“
- Tap on “SMS” (3 from above)
- Set permission “Allow“
Permission: Appear on top
- Go back to “Android Settings“
- “App” ⇒ “AutoSOS“
- Under “Advanced“
- Tap on”Appear on top“
- “Appear on top“
- Allow permission: ON
